A creative crisis is an offense to the soul

What is a creative crisis and what are its causes? Articles

That would be to create something, but that nothing would be desirable. Sound familiar? Of course it does! The state of creative desolation has visited each at least once.

Working in the field of creative disclosure, I have seen many people suffering from lack of desire and at the same time desperate to do and create something, mostly of course because of the inner installation “it is necessary”. But you can’t get very far with those conditions.

Why does this happen? Why do we come to a point where we are faced with a huge and immovable reluctance to do anything? And if the creative impulse is the spark of life, flight and freedom, the absence of this state can be called the opposite of it.

Causes of the creative crisis

Have you ever thought that it is not only we as a person who can be offended, but also our soul, which has its own needs and desires for self-realization and the unfolding of its potential in this life and in this body. Not taking into account our deep, inner desires, not listening to our heart’s call and going against our true desires, we conditionally put our soul in a cage.

By denying ourselves desires for years, people lose touch with them, and the soul stops desiring and begins to broadcast a deep state of resentment, which can manifest as depression, apathy, lack of will or intention, indifference, longing, sadness, irritation…. Here I have described methods for dealing with resentment.

Our soul, defeated in its attempts to make creative contact with us, one day, gets discouraged and stops energizing us. Yes, it is the soul that is the conduit to the world of creativity and ideas. But, as a rule, we listen to the desires not of our own souls, but of our parents, teachers, and partners, and we season all this well with the sauce of “we have to,” and as a rule it’s not us who has to, but someone else. I mean, we’re trying to live up to someone else’s expectations..

So we live in such a rhythm, doing the will and desires of anyone else, but not their own, and then can not just adjust to their needs, but also to find himself among other people’s attitudes.

What to do?

To get out of creative stagnation, you have to take good care of your soul so that you don’t turn into a confused person who doesn’t understand what he wants from life and where he should go in general.

To be inspired and to move through life, spurred on by a creative spark, is like a state of falling in love. And this deep desire to feel creative movement, creation and life is absolutely in all of us. So if we really want to enjoy life, our unfettered energy, new insights and ideas, it is very important that we learn to connect and heal with our soul, to listen to it, to nourish it, to care for it, to warm it with our attention.

At times, we will struggle to find a logical explanation for many of our desires, yet all of our analysis very often rests on rusty notions of right and wrong, imposed shame and societal restraints. Listen to your heart, because only it knows what is good for you and what is not. And, one day, you will not only hear your desires, but you will find the inspiration and strength to fulfill them.

I wish everyone creative insight and support on this magical path.

With love and faith in you, Maria Shakti.
