These days, life has become too intense, too anxious and saturated with endless services, goods, programs and information.
Our thought flow, heartbeat, and emotional reactivity speed up in place with a given speed. Time elusively melts away and we hope to catch up and accomplish the impossible, and yet we remain disappointed in our victories and, moreover, miss out on the most important things we see and feel.
We race to work, we race to communicate If we have time, we talk to our family and friends, and we squeeze ourselves inside out in order to accomplish the tasks we have set for ourselves in a given time frame. Set by whom and for what purpose? And then what happens?
Have you ever really thought in between this meaningless race where we are flying so furiously and without a second thought?
Now even so-called spirituality has become a business approach and a modern upgrade model to keep up. Look at the vastness of the Internet, all around is strewn with seminars and wise sayings, quotes.
And we, too, are racing to post spiritual sayings on our wall. I’m not against spirituality and progress. On the contrary, I am for it! It’s the key to a brighter future. But let’s approach this to this subject more down-to-earth and switch our perception to a slower, more digestive mode. Let’s pause and start breathing more deeply and consciously). Already this very simple and seemingly insignificant action tunes us into another wave.
And so, I have a question for you:
Are you happy? …..
Do you feel like you’ve found what you’re chasing so hard? ….
Do you want change? ….
I don’t claim to be an expert, and of course what I write and speak about is solely my experience and my revelations. And at this point in my life, I am very selective about how I present myself in words and actions, in order to keep things honest on my part. I only share what I have at the moment, no more and no less.
I have advice, but only for those who are really ready for change, as it will require your persistence and courage and willingness to work hard. And that work will unconditionally make you happier. I don’t mean happiness that comes from outside and then bursts like a soap bubble, leaving only ridiculous and sometimes silly traces behind, I’m talking about happiness that, like a grain of truth, will begin to sprout from your heart and fill your life with divine meaning.
So, let’s begin:
1) Write down your 7 favorite sayings that you’ve posted on your page in the last month or two. They didn’t just happen to resonate with you, they’re what you’re striving for. Now let us honestly analyze where we resonate practically with these sayings and where we resonate theoretically only in words so far.
2) Hang these sayings (maybe in short form, just the gist of them) somewhere on your wall, so that it doesn’t slip out of your field of vision in the intense stream of existence.
3) Believe that from your head or simply by force of will you cannot reach this level, if only because it is not an exercise machine, it is a deeper work beyond our mind, logic, and egoistic judgments. This is what happens in our moments of not doing, in our moments of total surrender.
So how does one go about it?
4) And to be very simple and without any tricks, which turns out to be very difficult, because it is our habit to complicate everything and our habit to approach everything with reason, which is not reasonable in the conditions in which we are). Every day for at least 21 days, or better yet, for a WHOLE MONTH, give yourself precious silence. It’s best in the morning before breakfast, before your head is on full blast. Just sit in silence for at least 15 minutes. This is a kind of simplified form of meditation and it will require concentration and effort just to be in silence.
Important point: Don’t join the mental train of worries, assumptions, doubts and worries. Breathe slowly and deeply and concentrate on the center of your chest, where the heart chakra is located. Breathe as if through this chakra. And on each exhalation, imagine that you are melting and dissolving in pure light and love. Imagine that you are a small drop of light in the center of your chest and with each exhalation, mentally let yourself go and allow yourself to dissolve into infinite divine light.
What’s so original about that? – you might think. There is nothing original here, we are not reinventing the wheel. But how do we put this into practice? Especially when everything is so uncomplicated? Very simple. Start doing without any excuses or other crap. Believe me, I am a master of excuses and I can readily come up with a million reasons for putting off and even more that allegedly it is not effective!
Just understand one thing, your ego will always be against true spirituality, because there is no place for it!
5) Another very important point. Every time you go to bed and wake up in the morning, take 5 minutes to sit on your bed with your eyes closed and mentally turn to God and ask him to help you. Only he knows what is best for you, not you.
And here again work with the ego and with your expectations. Think of some kind of appeal: “I don’t know what is best for me, only you know and I ask you to please help me on my way, support me in my moments of weakness, doubts and disappointments, guide me in my moments of foolishness and pride. support me in my moments of weakness and doubt and disappointment, guide me in my moments of foolish pride, and let me know you’re there for me when I’m scared.” That’s like a short example on my part, how it would sound in your case is up to you.
6) Learn to see his help and support throughout the day, which may come
not explicitly, and not at all the way you expect it.
7) And if you’re going to set records, it’s how often you thank space, people, and everything that happens to you. Before a meal, before a conversation with a person, a phone call, a handshake, a shower, whatever, mentally say the phrase: Thank you.
These steps are already enough to begin life in a different capacity, and of course, to get closer to those quotes that you found so appealing that you posted them on your wall.
I wish you discipline on this path, sweet revelations, silence and intimacy with the divine, with yourself.
PS: 1 month of practice is only the beginning, so to speak, the starting point. The hardest thing is to start, but then you can’t stop. Do the practice not automatically, but sincerely, otherwise everything is in vain. And even if the sincerity is not very continuing, cultivate your sincerity and truth during this period, even if slowly but surely. And most importantly, don’t make gaps.
With love and faith in you, Maria Shakti.
