It is impossible to express in words, why in this corner of the earth you feel such boundless happiness..
As if you are back in the mother’s womb, where the temperature, food and environment are harmonious and beneficial not only for the body but also for the soul).
From the first moment you step off the plane, you are filled with the heady, hot, spicy air of this extraordinary place.
Arambol is a small village where special people from all over the world gather: actors, dancers, yogis, musicians, and just vagabonds. This place is very much like a commune, a space with a special atmosphere filled with the life and the openness of people from all over the world.
Arambol is a fraternity of people for whom freedom, creativity and life are important. Since creative and talented people gather here, you can learn a lot from them, especially since every day in every corner someone gives lessons or just improvises with dances of different kinds and directions, music of different peoples.
Arambol Traditions
There is a wonderful tradition in Arambol Goa.. In the evenings, the residents gather on the beach to face the sunset together and show each other their skills. Some spin fireballs, some do yoga or tai chi, some just sit and cuddle with a loved one or lie looking up at the sky. And then the drums start playing and everyone
begin to dance to the rhythm of lively afro rhythms. From the outside you can definitely see that all these people are clearly happy with themselves and enjoying life.
And when the red fiery sun begins to touch the horizon and plunge into the ocean, it is one of the most unimaginable experiences when you feel with every cell of your body the energy and support of the entire planet.
The beach at Arambola ends with a rocky ledge, behind which there is a small freshwater lake. There behind the Lake not far into the jungle is one of the most iconic places in Arambola, the “Shiva Tree,” a huge unimaginable banyan tree that you can walk to in about 20 minutes through the jungle. Here you can meet quite a few characters who want to meditate.
Nice and useful
On Wednesdays, almost all tourists go to the nearby village of Anjuna, where there is a flea market, founded in its time by the first hippies. Later they were joined by Hindus with outlandish wares.
Here you can see a variety of Indian and Tibetan handicrafts, the beauty is dazzling.
Also on Saturdays in Arpora there is a Night Market, and believe me it’s a very interesting event. Here, in addition to clothes and souvenirs, rock musicians and artists perform, and real Goa trance plays. It’s not just a market, it’s part of the nightlife of northern Goa.
Nearby in the neighboring state of Maharashtra is Paradise Beach Paradise. It is possible to get to the other side of the neighboring state by taking the Dona Paula ferry across the river. It is very romantic).
The ferry runs back and forth all day, so getting to the beach is no problem. The water on the beach is so clear that when the foam from the next wave disappears, then, standing waist-deep, you can clearly see the crab, which is frantically buried in the sand three steps away from you.
I especially recommend renting a scooter, which is not only the most convenient means of transportation, but also the most unforgettable.
The feeling while riding is unparalleled! Literally in every corner you can feel the hundreds of shades of scents, and while riding it is felt especially bright. The locals are openly friendly and quiet.
And the farther you get from the tourist areas, the more vivid these qualities become. Even just driving down an unfamiliar road, you immediately notice the sincere joy in your direction.
But even in spite of all these attractions, every time I go back there it is not at all because of them. The most enticing and unforgettable thing about Arambola is the Goan atmosphere. Friends show up here from the very first minute and you always end up in the right places at the right time.
No one is in a hurry and no one is making plans for for the future.everyone lives here and now. And the most joyful thing is that everyone has Eternal Summer and the joy of life in their eyes.
This is real life where no one is trying to change or embellish anything! That is why Arambol is the most ideal place to hold a workshop. And I am happy to invite anyone who would like to join us.
With love, Maria Shakti.
