Your idyll with spirituality is bound to end someday. It is bound to come to an end. You will have to feel disappointment in it.
But don’t rush to say goodbye to it forever, because it is premature. Wait and bitterness is sure to pass, a new perception of life will begin.
A true romance with spirituality can begin only after such a bitter disappointment, which seems to tear away the contrived mask from her. Along with spirituality will disappear from life and many books that used to be interesting to you. Only a few will remain-and in them you will feel like good, old friends with whom you’ve known for a long time and don’t feel the need to go through and read them often again.
You will feel comfortable with them, as if you were wearing old favorite clothes that are always nice and comfortable, like someone you know almost everything about. Gone, too, will be a great deal of misery Your spiritual aspirations and the need to forcibly avoid everything unspiritual will disappear by itself.
Spirituality will no longer be the trough of spiritual “shoulds” and “musts.
Guilt will be transformed into benevolent observation of all that is going on around you and spiritual observation. At times you will seem very lazy to yourself – much lazier than before. But that is not the case at all. You will begin to work harder and get more done, because you will stop wasting time at war with yourself. You will become more productive and your selfishness will go away.
True spirituality
You are, of course, still concerned about some of life’s questions, but they no longer need simple, primitive answers-they need something real and tangible.
The nostalgic motives for the past that have accompanied you throughout your life will be replaced by a belief in the present, the reality of today. For ourselves, we may present ourselves even as selfish, but in fact this selfishness will not be on your way. Unnecessary ambition and worry will disappear – only the desire for your absolute awakening will remain.
Haste and vanity will disappear, to be replaced by the ordinary awareness and acceptance that even if we deviate from the Path we will still remain on it. Spiritless life will begin – the period of the birth of true spirituality. And there will be no need to strive for glory and public attention, to try to pass oneself off as a spiritual person.
The focus on the selfish self, on the self, will disappear, opening up unsurpassed expanses for individuality, which is the focus of being. True self-realization will occur.
The human path goes from the superficial to the deeper, and then there is the rebirth of man into a deeply superficial being. After spirituality, life takes on a paradoxical shape. All questions that arise will be answered by silence. Everything that happens will have an answer in it.
There will be no need for explanations, because everything will be open and very clear. Life after spirituality is a steady death. And in this life, joys and sorrows will mingle to form one uninterrupted song, with man as the melody. One one moment encompasses the whole universe.
With love Maria Shakti
