Fear of criticism inhibits development, both personal and global. How many great inventions have never been created simply because their creator was influenced by criticism and stopped working….
How many creative people have stopped creating their unique masterpieces because their open and loving heart could not withstand the criticism pouring in from outside… Criticism can destroy.
Not everyone can withstand the oppression of criticism. As a rule, it is either those who pursue the cause out of selfish motives, or those whose spirit is stronger than the spirit of all the critics gathered around them.
What is the reason for the criticism that surrounds us?
It may be hard to believe, but one of the reasons lies in the country in which we live. It is Russia, according to the Vedic lecturers, which is the territory in which envy reigns. Try now to put aside the indignation that has come over you and turn to the facts. Analyze how many instances of envy you encounter in a day. Even such a simple Russian proverb as “the grass is greener at a neighbor” is not accidental. Russian folk art in general is not accidental.
Do you think that Russia is not the only one that suffers from the oppression of envy? Certainly not only Russia. But it is precisely in Russia that envy has learned to control people, establishing an almost monarchical rule over the consciousness of the people. In America, for example, greed reigns supreme. Americans strive all their lives to fulfill their material American dream, and are very happy when they manage to put two cents into a slot machine and win four. That’s a hundred percent profit!
In Russia, instead of greed, it’s envy. Instead of doing good and useful things, we torment ourselves with thoughts that our neighbor has a better house, a prettier wife, and receives a larger salary. And since envy stops our personal growth, takes away precious time and energy, we must learn to deal with it. The main thing is to learn to be sincerely happy for others and get on with our lives, to continue continue on the path to your dreams.
Stop wasting time on envy, spend it on the development of your life!
Likewise with criticism. Stop worrying about it and waste your life on these worries. Move forward in spite of your critics, wish each one of them happiness in your mind, and move forward. Your movement toward the goal will be much more fruitful than possible than any feelings you might have about the criticism.
By the way, those who criticize are often the very people who cannot achieve something on their own. They are trying to stand out, to realize themselves at your expense, criticizing, “lowering” your achievements, undervaluing them. Are you interested in the opinion of insecure, unfulfilled people? If not, then stop responding to them!
Remember, it’s impossible to please everyone.
Imagine that you are selling apples at the market. Beautiful, large, in many different colors. You have on the counter yellow, red and green apples. But there are bound to be people who are not satisfied with your assortment.
There will be those who want it burgundy apples with an orange cast, someone will want a necessarily small, and someone will be looking for wormy specimens. It is impossible to please everyone. So stop paying attention to criticism and go in the direction your heart tells you.
Either you choose your path and your life, or you choose criticism and start criticizing others yourself.
Remember that dealing with criticism involves dealing with your ego. Learn to think about your own life, don’t let yourself care about what’s right. Be compassionate, stop letting resentment boil up inside you. Open your heart, and you can bring a drop of goodness to everyone in the world.
Don’t try to change the minds of those who think differently than you do. Each of the billions of people on this planet has a right to their own way, and their choices are worthy of respect.
And don’t stop to go in the direction your heart tells you. You have the right to decide what your life will be!
